how to auto generate text with numbers together?

Dear all,

thank you, i am quite noobie , please can someone kindly guide me along how to address this issues

Example. i got this id call BG-SNSGPEHS-001, there fore i would like the textbox to auto generate the next sequence it should be BG-SNSGPEHS-002. the ID will be generated when ever i open up the files but however the number shall remain the same unless i have click the submit button.

Hi Vincent,

I may be misunderstanding your request.

However, did you know that if you select the cell containing BG-SNSGPEHS-001, and hover your mouse over the bottom right hand corner until a small + sign appears, you can LEFT CLICK and drag down. The number will increase by one for every cell you drag across, but everything else will be copied.

This may save you some time!

thank you, i will like the serial nos appear in the textbox as i have many sheets, which each id can be place at different sheet. therefore i required when new user click the textbox will generate a new id.

Try this. Change the Sheet and Cell references as required
