    Pull Zillow Zestimate Data

    Hello Leith,

Thank you for putting this out there.

When I click on Get estimates, I get a pop up that reads

Run-time error '-2147024809 (80070057)': The item with the specified name wasn't found.

I'm running Excel 2010. Do you have any suggestions?

    minggee109,
Unfortunately your post does not comply with Rule 2 of our Forum RULES. Do not post a question in the thread of another member -- start your own thread.

If you feel an existing thread is particularly relevant to your need, provide a link to the other thread in your new thread.

Old threads are often only monitored by the original participants. New threads not only open you up to all possible participants again, they typically get faster response, too.

    Hello minggee109,

Ben is correct. However, I going to bend the rules will answer your question as this post generates a lot of interest.

I have recently updated the extractor to version 7. This provides even more information and has a better user interface.

You can download the most recent file from here

Let me know if you have any issues.

    Happy New Year!
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Pull Zillow Zestimate Data

Thank you for the prompt response Leith. I'm getting a different error with the new release. I'm actually running Excel 2007 (not 2010 like I thought initially). Error.PNG

Perhaps it doesn't like Excel 2007? Macros and ActiveX set to enabled. Also Happy New Year!

    Hello minggee109,

Select "Debug" and tell which line of code is highlighted.

    Hello petevara,

For the past few months Zillow has been redesigning the site. More pictures and information have been added to the web pages than before. The last version of my program will no longer work with the new site design.

I am currently working on a new version of the program. Keep checking back for the new version.

    Hi Leith,

Has there been a new version released?

Not to hijack the excellent work that Leith has created but if you use Zillow's API feature, it may be less prone to changes in their website design and layout. Plus it may run faster.

If you dig around, there is a working macro example out there to get you started.

Thanks for the response. I went the external route with Java for now. Will be messing around with the API and macro soon hopefully. I will update with results.
