Add Hyperlink to cell via a userform

    Hello,

I would like to add a hyperlink to a cell via a userform instead of using the "Hyperlink" button from the right click menu.

The structure of the userform should be identical to the attached screen.

The browse button should open up a browser window for users to browse for the file. The address of the link will be displayed in the text box.

Then when "OK" is clicked, the hyperlink should be attached to the selected cell.

    Your help is much appreciated.

    best regards,
    tapapad

    Hello tapapad,

I want to be sure I understand what you want here.
The browse button should open up a browser window for users to browse for the file. The address of the link will be displayed in the text box.

Then when "OK" is clicked, the hyperlink should be attached to the selected cell.
You want to the user to browse for a file using the Open dialog and the selected cell is the Active Cell of the worksheet, correct?

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Hello tapapad,

Do you want the Cancel button to clear the link or close the user form?

    Thanks,
    Leith

    Hello tapapad,

The attached file has the form to browse for a file and insert it as a hyperlink into the active cell of the active sheet.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Smile Re: Add Hyperlink to cell via a userform

Hi Leith - I am trying to teach myself Excel VBA - having a ball and used the idea you posted in this thread to solve a problem - just want to say thanks.
Also was wondering if you could recommend a good but easy reference (ebook and free if possible) I could use.

    Thanks again
