Conditional Formatting - Set colour based on date past

I have a spreadsheet that contains a long series of dates in Column B. I need to know how to set Conditional Formatting so that if any date is 180 days before today, it turns green. If any date is 270 days before today it turns yellow, and if any date is more than 270 days before today, it turns red. I know this may be a simple question, but I'm stuck on this! Thanks in advance.

    Re: Conditional Formatting Help!!

    Invoke Format|Conditional formatting

Cell Value Is >> less than =Today()-270 click Format >> choose red

    Click Add

Cell Value Is >> less than =Today()-180 >> click Format >> choose yellow

    Click Add
Cell Value Is >> less than =Today() >> click Format >> choose Green

P.S. Please next time make title more descriptive.... See Forum Rules # 1

Question Flagging cells by color based upon certain number of days

I have a similar situation. However, in the spreadsheet I've created I'm trying to flag cells by color based upon dates after an in date.

If the cell contains an in date and the current date is 10 days past that in date I want it to turn Yellow. 20 days past in date then Orange, and If 30 days past in date then Red.

Is there a way to even do that in Excel 03?

I do beleive with the help of what information you provided the other member with I am able to create a conditional format for entries I place in from here on out.

So what I figure it would be:
Cell Value is >> equal to = Today()+10 >> click format >> choose yellow
    Click Add
Cell Value is >> equal to +Today()+20 >> click format >> choose orange
and then last condition would be today +30 and choose red

    Is that correct?
It would be great if that's correct. The only thing is a format like that does not include the past in dates....like in dates from any date less than 8 Sep 11 and those would just have to be addressed manually.

I hope I've made some sense here in explaining this, and I hope I'm grasping the concept as least slightly =) any help would be greatly appreciated!
