Disable a row based on a checkbox

    Hi,
I am new to excel and here is my simple question:

I want to protect a row once the information is entered with a checkbox

I have a checkbox at the end of a row (ex. in column P) and when it's value is true - I want the rest of the cells in that row (A to O) to change color and to lock (disable editing) the data entered.

If the value of the checkbox changes to true - users should be able to edit it again.

    Thanks in advance

    That is perfect!!!
the only thing is that I just have been told that we will be using the same spreadsheet for about 3000 entries, meaning that I'll have to have same amount of checkboxes and rewrite the code for every one of them.

Maybe there is an easier way to do it?

    I appreciate your help!

    Hi,

in this case I wouldn't use check boxes but solve this with data validation like here: Checkbox - Copy.xlsm

    Regards
