VBA to pull data from multiple workbooks into another workbook (Excel 2003)

    Hello all,

    I have two search requests:

    First:

I have a large workbook with multiple sheets. What I need to do is create a workbook which is for one year as having more then one year of data makes it extremly slow to open. So I will have a number of workbooks with 12 sheets in each and each sheet could contain as many as 500 rows of data.

The information I need to pull is based on a unique ID number, when searching for that unique ID I need it to return to me the location of that ID with a link to it, so I can then enter a date for example next to that ID in the correct workbook. So I would search across workbooks for this: 767123 and it would return a link to the worksheet it's in and some information from certain columns (F,U & W).

Second: (sheet not yet made, but will have three columns, ID, Service Date, Service Comments)

Another thing I would like to be able to do is search from one workbook for any unique ID which has a "service date" which is older then 12 months, now that ID may have more then one service date and I need it to look at the most recent date and pull from there. Reason is we need to keep all service dates for auditing purposes, but I need to be able to pull that information together to show if it is overdue a service. Is this possible?

I've attached a copy of one of the worksheets with sensitive date taken out so you can see what I am working with.

Many many thanks in advance, I appreciate any help!
