    Insert Time Stamp with Seconds

This seems like it should be an easy problem to fix, but I can't find any threads on it.
I'm creating a simple timing program. Enter a static start time, and then enter finish times in a column, and calculate the difference. But when I enter a time-stamp (Shift-Control-Colon) into a cell, it doesn't give me seconds, just the hour and minutes. I've formatted the cell to h:mm:ss but it always reverts to only the minute, without any seconds.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi

It appears that Excel does not include seconds with the keyboard shortcut, however you can get around it using something like the following

You will need to go to Tools/Macro/Options and add a letter as a shortcut letter which you can then use with the Ctrl key.

    Regards

    Time Stamp

    One more (relatively unimportant) item:
What would be the command line to have it then go to the next cell down in the column? The time stamp enters the current cell, and then essentially a "return" to go down the column.

    Thanks,
