Need to find cell range (address) for drawingobject

have a webpage that gets cut and pasted into an Excel 2007 sheet. There are a bunch of DrawingObjects (shapes) that come in with the data but do not anchor themselves to a cell. The “objects” also contain Hyperlinks which is an important part of the import. I can extract the hpyerlinks.address and get the underlying info, which I need but I also need to link that data to the accompanying text part of the import.

could someone suggest code to “anchor” the drawingobect (shape) to the adjacent cell or get the cell address below the shape?

    Hello wilmar,

    Welcome to the Forum!

Please try to be specific when posting. If you are unsure of the proper terms to use then attach your workbook so we can follow along. The terms Drawing Object and Shape are very general and can refer to large number of different objects. Providing an example of these objects will help us to provide you with quick and accurate answer.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Re: Need to find cell range (address) for drawingobject

Leith - sorry for the confusion, actually thought i was being specific. perhaps the sheet will better explain. as you will see there are 3 envelope shapes that import with the date. These envelopes do not anchor to a specific cell. What I need to code is a way to match up the envelope to the correct text (which if it hasn't been moved will be in-line) and in that cell or and adjecent cell extract out the email address (activesheet.hyperlinks(x).name).

    Does this make more sense?

one last thing - it is possible that a line of text does not have an envelope
