    XLS to TXT

    Hi there,

    I am new to VBA programming nad dont know the concept of how to work with it. My scenerio is :

    I want pass inputfile and outputfile arguments using command line with inputfile as excel sheet and outputfile as txt file. I want excel to somehow convert the inputfile into outputfile without actually opening excel I have no idea how this will work? Please help as this is urgent!

    Hello addictive_mate,

    This can not be done from the Excel command line because the Save and SaveAs commands must be initiated from within the Excel application. It can be done in other ways. The urgency of your request and your desire to copy a file in a surreptitious manner does raise suspicion.So, I am a little hesitant to provide you with more information.
