Hey all,
now that i've started using VBA code to do basic tasks I thought it would be a good idea to try and extend my primative knowledge on VBA whislt creating a user friendly form for inputting information.
Excel version 2003 SP3
See attached spreadsheet for where I am upto. (uploaded as a zip as the .xls would not upload???
Anyway I am only concentrating on the Curtain Wall tab which you will see is a large (horizontally) for users to input the information.
Obviously i don't want all the fields on the table on the form, the white cells are for the user to input data and the Blue cells are the formulated cells which i do not want the user to change. (obviously I protect the sheet, but have unprotected it for uploading)
I have designed the userform (available in VBA) so now all I need to do is join the two together.
Can anyone help me get this off the ground? I want the first entry to start at the top of the table obviously and work its way down, however not all the fields will have data in them ie. Ref.
I would say that column B is where data will always be constant.
The dream is:
I would like the user two click on the first cell of the table say A10 which will bring the form up for that row of data to be entered.
Data is entered, done.
I would like then to say click on A20 and do the same for that row.
is it possible to then click on A10 to bring up the form which will have the information from that row already inserted, so that it can be ammended?
The cells that the form is linked to is self explanitory.
The fact is im trying to run before I can walk, hence I need your support.
I've read through alot of the tips and form suggestions but the more I try the further from what I want I am getting.
Cheers in advance.
Karl.
