Thread: VLookup across different useforms

Hi there,

I have an Excel document that is designed to help integrate the check-in process of my organization's events to the attendance records in my database (separate issue).

I need to be collecting an ID number with an account name (the ID number acts as a key in the database), and that's it - so I thought.

To get this far, I created a workbook "Attendees", which tracks the two fields of information. I then created a userform that allowed each user to input their ID number and account name and hit "submit", which would then clear the form after logging those two things into the "Attendees" spreadsheet, and take the user to a form that confirms a successful log-in.

My director wants this confirmation form to remind users which team they are on (ie say, You have successfully logged in. Remember, you are on team A). To do this, I created a spreadsheet called "Dancers", where we have already loaded every member's information (their ID number and team name). Now, I want to link the textboxes on my "Confirmation" form to the ID input textbox on the "Check-In" form (ie, have each person type their ID number in like normal, and when they hit submit, the confirmation box will pop up telling them what team they are on, drawing that information from the "Dancers" table).

In Access, I would just use an Inner Join function to make the ID textbox on the form match the ID column in my Dancers spreadsheet, but how do I do this in Excel?
