Use a Pivot Table - set Column 1 as Row Field and Column 2 as Data Field set to MAX
(you will need header values for each column)
My Recommended Reading:
Volatility
Sumproduct & Arrays
Pivot Intro
Email from XL - VBA & Outlook VBA
Function Dictionary & Function Translations
Dynamic Named Ranges
Use Pivot table and choose MAX
"Relax. What is mind? No matter. What is matter? Never mind!"
I am planning to use it in a macro therefore could you please advise in otherway or please tell me how to implement it in to macro?
many thanks
Hi nasg,
Pivot is the easiest and most preferred. You can also find the maximum values by sub-totaling. Array formulas can also help. Or if you are looking for VBA only, then see the attachment.
