In the attached spreadsheet, I have created a Pivot table for the provided data. The Pivot table calculates the number of items for each type. I am trying to find the average number of items per Type. However, when I change the Grand total field to Average, it performs a sum of the IDs and then calculates the average, rather than performing a sum of the count of the IDs per type.
It would be awesome if someone could help me on this.

No Sir. I need the Pivot table to display the number of IDs in Type A and Type B and then do an average number of IDs in a given type.
Your calculations give the average quantity of materials in Type A and B which is not necessary.
