I wanna do a project with excel but I have still no idea how to do that.
I need a kinda database within excel. I dont have another possibility, so I can only use excel.
I have a list of around 60 names.That list will be pretty much static. Now I need to assign data to the names. That will be dynamic and change all the time.
Here an example:
In my name list I have 'Peter Pan'. Peter is calling me a lot and I wanna record how many times he is calling. I would have a button (macro), I click on the button and somewhere in my excel sheet a '1' is added to the cell next to the name 'Peter Pan'. Every time he calls I select his name, do a click on the button and another '1' is added to the counter.
New I have two questions:
- How do I manage that?
- Is there a good way to find and select quickly in a list of 60 or more names?

Thats great! Thank you! But I would have 60 or more names so that would not work.
I need a faster way to select the name. Like by entering the first 3 digits of the name.
But thanks again I will check that out!
And there is another reason why I need to select the name in a different way. I need a few buttons to also record the reason why Peter Pan called.
So lets say I have 5 different reasons why someone can call me. I select the name (must be fast, like no more than 5 sec.) and I click on the reason why he called and that would use the counter to code his call in the right place.
