I was wondering if anyone knew a way to do the following.
I have 2 lists.
List one (A1:A350) has uncorrected names.
List two (C1:C350) has corrected names.
On another sheet, I have a list (List three) ~10,000 cells (A1:A10000) of names which include the uncorrected names found in list one.
What I want to do is have a macro, or some way, of excel finding all the uncorrected names in list three using list one, and then once it has found it, replacing it with the corresponding corrected names in list two.
For example. Search in list three the name in A1, replace it with C1. Repeat with A2:A350 and C2:C350.
Any help? Thanks guys.
swordth,
I put together a sample workbook based on the criteria you've given (see attached). Its a little different than you described, but should still be applicable to your question. Adapt the formula to your needs.
Hope that helps,
