Hi All:
I have an Excel based database/table to track invoices. It pulls in data (model and price) from other tabs after the user enters 2 pieces of data: product ID and Quantity. Since those are the only 2 pieces of data the user needs to enter (since all the formulas are already in place to calculate tax, markup, et al), I'd like to creata macro to set the insertion point at "Quantity" after the "Product ID is entered. I welcome and appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks All.

Hi egavasrg,
I guess I need and example to see what you are doing and what you mean by "insertions point:. This problem sounds like a simple VLookup until you get to the "insertion point" part.
You can attach a sample file by clicking on the "Go Advanced" below the message area and then on the Paper Clip Icon above the Advanced Message Area.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Hi Egavasrg,
If I understand you correctly, you want to make the cell in the Quantity column active once you enter the product ID for that row. And I'm assuming they're not immediately next to each other?
If the user(s) only need to enter those two bits of data, I'd suggest just unlocking those two columns and then protecting the worksheet. Once protected, the users will only be able to Tab between unlocked cells. (If you allow them to select unlocked cells, they can do that as well using the Enter/Arrow keys or mouse click.)
Thanks Paul. As usual, the simple was is often the best (and easiest). I think I was trying to make this more complicated than it needed to be. Thanks again.
