Thread: Summing values for a given date only

Thanks for the help in advance. I can’t figure out a normal formula to do this and have few programming skills to do this via a macro.

I have 3 columns.

Column A has a date (e.g. 7/1/2011) every nth row.
Column B will have several rows in between two dates with numerical values.
Column C needs to sum the values belonging to each individual date

how do you want these values to update? Every time you open the workbook, calculate every time a value is changed, etc?

Thanks for the reply. It's best to have them calculated only when I run the macro as the values are pretty static and don't need to be calculated very often.
