This is the situation.
I am using the MIN function to calculate the minimum value within a range.
What I would like to do then is have it take the value of the cell next to the minimum value and put it into a cell next to the new minimum value cell.
To explain.
cells B3:B6 contain part names
cells C3:C6 contain part costs.
the formula =min(c3:c6) is placed into cell K3.
What I would like is for the value from the column b cell which matches the row where the lower value is to be copied into cell J3.
So if the min value is part A in cells B4 and C4 then the formula will put C4 into K3 automatically and I want to also have B4 copied into J3.
Hope that all makes sense.
hi, hope this helps
yes that works great thank you .... will however leave this thread open for the moment because I havent finished working with it
Can your code be adjusted to work across the blue highlighted range ?
see example worksheet provided for more clarification.
I tried it and got a N/A or #NAME error - sorry I can't remember which one it was.
