Anyone know how to insert a column but i dont want the formats from the left col to effect the col i just inserted. anyone know how?

When inserting rows or columns the entire format of the adjacent cells is carried to the new row/column.
No way around this that I know of.
If you are inserting the column via code, then simply apply the desired format s part of the macro.
