Have Visual Basic Modules/Code to Share?

    Hello Excel Forum,

I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to fit Excel functions together to accomplish what could be done by someone skilled with Visual Basic in a matter of minutes.

I'm hoping that members will post Excel modules with special functions that they have created that will be of use (Add-ins don't work for me because I can't open them with the security on the network).

I'm most interested in VB that makes intelligent use of data in arrays, matrices, tensors (or whatever way is useful for organizing and calculating from data).

Translating data into interactive graphics. Performing statistical analysis and making projections. Monte-Carlo Simulation and Monte-Carlo Integration. Multivariate Regression. Factor Analysis. Etcetera.

Hoping something good comes out of this. Please post code that is as general/abstract as possible, so that we can easily adapt -or plug in values- for our purposes. Thanks!

    Hi Greg777,

It sounds like you needed to spend your time learning VBA instead of trying to fit Excel functions together.

I find VBA code on the net to do all kinds of things. I've also read many books that show short VBA routines that I use daily to answer forum questions.

I believe it would more time thrifty to learn VBA and develope your own specific routines than trying to read other peoples code. When I read code from other forum guru's it always takes me a while to understand what they were thinking and where they were going with their code. Many times I can write my own as fast as read and understand theirs. There are lots of slick coders in this formum but only a few write easy to understand code. IMHO.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
