Thread: Macro to Open, Save and Close Excel Files

Hi,
I need to program a macro that will open an Excel file, add the current date in the cell to the right of the previous date, save and close the file, open another file, copy certain cells from that file and paste into yet another file and so on. In other words, I need to program a macro to open different Excel files and perform certain operations within each Excel file. Where do I save this macro? How do I set it up? I am new to VBA. : ) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

U need to put the cell ref in which u want the date change.
