Thread: Select Random Records With Multiple Criteria

Please can somebody can help me.

I am struggling to find examples of a formula that shows how to generate a random selection of records using multiple criteria, there are many for a single criteria using the RND Function.

I want to randomly select 2 records of each Type (pavement, potholes, etc) for each of the Areas (Essex, Kent, etc).

I have enclosed an example spreadsheet.

Sorry, I have come across a couple of issues,

1. the macro does not create a record for the last Area / Type combination,
2. the macro hangs if the number of rows increases.

Do you have any ideas what the problems may be.
