    Calendar disappeared with Office 2010...

I installed Office 2010, and the calendar in my Userform disappeared. Now, when I call the form, it says

Could not load an object because it is not available on this machine.

It works fine on another computer I use, which has Office 2007.

    Ideas?

    Thank you very much...

    -Jared

look for MSCOMCTL.OCX file in Windows/System32 directory (good for XP). If it is missing, find a free copy with Google and follow installation instruction.

I don't use that control. If you distribute it to others they may not have it & they will have problems

    See alternatives here
    Hope that helps.

If I don't use that control, how would I allow users of the program to select a date. If not by Calendar control, there must be another way for date selection...

    Thanks...

You probably missed the last sentence of royUK saying "see alternatives here".
    It was the key point.

I found this file in my System32 folder, and it's there... it's not missing, so what do I do now?

Re: Calendar disappeared with Office 2010...

You open Excel then go in VBA editor then add a new USERFORM. A toolbox should appear. Right click in a grey area and click on ADDITIONAL CONTROLS. A new window will appear showing the activated controls. Search for the following or a similar one Calendar Control 11.0 and select it. You must see an X in the left square of this control. Close this window and you should now have a new control in your toolbox (lower row).

    Hi jpcsolutions
If you choose to ignore royUK's admonitions (and if you're not distributing then that's ok) please follow the instructions on this link CAREFULLY, including REGISTRATION...it does work...I've used it myself.

Brilliant Roy, the date add-in was exactly what I wanted.
