Hi all,
Is there an equivalent to the PHP function mysql_real_escape_string () in excel. I am uploading an excel spreadsheet's data into an SQL database. I am having a problem with a few characters such as the degree symbol. Also some texts include apostrophies. So it needs those characters to be turned into their escape codes.
As I say does anyone know of the equivalent, or any good functions for doing this. I have found some on the net but they tend to focus on individual characters rather than a full approach. Ideally a function call that does it would be best solution.
Thanks

Still not had any replies to this. Urgently needed!
Not that I'm aware of but you can use replace() to replace any illegal characters
