I know how to use the SUMIF formula though I want to get the average of the result. Is that possible?

With Excel 2007 you can use AVERAGEIF formula same way
"Relax. What is mind? No matter. What is matter? Never mind!"
You get DIV error if there is no data.
You can use IFERROR function to avoid it: =IFERROR(formula, result)
"Relax. What is mind? No matter. What is matter? Never mind!"
Doesn't solve because when I replace the error for example for a "0" than I will get the 0 but I need to get the average.
It is my understanding that in the Rank I can have empty cells but with the Criteria I choose the ones which are not empty. Is this correct or simply in the whole column I cannot have a 0 neither empty cell?
I have found out my mistake. It was a writing mistake. Really sorry for the trouble caused.
