Extracting earliest and latest prices in excel

I am trying to extract the earliest and most price for a given set of products from a long data file. I have tried Min and Max functions which works where the price of the product has increased over time, but does not work where the price has dropped. I have over 7,000 lines of data and do not want to pull out the prices manually using filters. I attach an extract of the dataset so you can see what I trying to do.

    Thanks

    Hi rsecomak

    Try with these two formula

    1) =MIN(IF($A$2:$A$26=E2;$C$2:$C$26))

    2) =MAX(IF($A$2:$A$26=E2;$C$2:$C$26))

Both of these are Arrays Formula. Not just Enter, but Ctr+Shift+Enter

    Hope to helps you.

Because of Forum problems, i am not able to upload a sample workbook!!!!!!!!!!
    Regards

    Fotis.
