Calculating Repeats not duplicates
I have a report that I have to do that requires me to determine how many times 2nd, 3rd, 4th time someone had to go back to a customer.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Also, this will be used with a pivot table.
Example:
tech # 1 went to customer acct:969696 1/2/12
tech # 2 went to customer acct:969696 1/5/12
tech # 3 went to customer acct:969696 1/7/12
tech # 4 went to customer acct:969696 1/13/12
tech # 1 went to customer acct:777777 1/2/12
tech # 2 went to customer acct:777777 1/5/12
tech # 3 went to customer acct:777777 1/7/12
I need a formula that will look at this data and say tech #1 had 2 repeats.

I need a formula that will look at this data and say tech #3 had 1 repeats.
I need a formula that will look at this data and say tech #4 had 0 repeats.

Please see attached WorkBook.
You will note that I had to assgin a unique number to each "Tech" to have something to work with.
Do you really also need the Date besides the Account #
Am I on track and can you use what I have done this far?

I use the date to determine which tech was their first that way you can tell who has been there first.
