    Digital Signature Certificates

Apologies in advance as I'm sure this topic is covered somewhere in this forum but so far I cannot find it. I am in the process of designing a workbook that requires the use and application of macros. I confess that I am brand sparkling new to macros in the first place but what I understand in terms of general distribution, one needs a Digital Signature Certificate. Does anyone have any information that they can kindly share as to how, where, cost etc because at this moment in time, I am losing my hair trying to find simple to understand instructions and explanations. It appears that there are many different types of certificates for different applications (??) and I am confused as to which I will need and where to get them (it?).
