Re: Making new worksheets in same workbook based on unique value in parent sheet

    Dear Jaslake and Alf ,

I will respond one by one to the generated output ,

Jaslake -This is awesome (the trailing space trick integration to your code )

However the code still has 2 issues i would like to address,

is it possible that Formatting in output sheet remains same as in input sheet meaning which i now don't have to go to output sheet and realign column width ,row width ,wrap text in certain cells ,reduce /increase screen resolution in output sheet as like in input sheet .You will note that te row width of the generated output sheet is default sheet width aligned to rows ....can you put a line of code to make the output sheet formatting in terms of row width ,column width ,screen resolution etc to be exactly like input sheet

2.)Say my column E has sample data like sample 1 ,sample 2 and sample 3 spread over ,it rightly generates seperate sheets titled sample 1 containing sample 1 entries ,sample 2 containig sample 2 entries ,sample 3 containing sample 3 entries ......but it generates two sheets for each sample 1 ,sample 2 ,sample 3 ......

so rather than having 1 sheet of each sample 1,sample 2 ,sample 3 ( 3 in total ),

i get 2 sheets each of sample 1 ,sample 2 ,sample 3 (6 in total),

I wish that i could upload output file to show what i mean ,but i dunno why i can't upload ,something to do with site upgradation ,i feel
Other than that ,i think the code works like god !!!

2.)As regards ALF -Dude ,sorry man ,still the same results ,

There can be no one more eager than me to see your code work for i love the output sheet look and feel but
same thing happening again ,which puzzles me highly ....

The filtering must work else how can jaslake(John's )code which uses filtering work so effectively ,

I stepped through i will tell you what is happening .....in column A i see that initially the rows are like CBU,CBU,CBU,CBU,HERP,HERP,HERP,HERP,HERP,HERP,ranipet, ranipet etc
however as keep stepping through ,the results now enter column 2 and it becomes CBU,HERP,ranipet, ranipet ,Trichy,CBU,

I know it feels terrible ,wish i could upload the file so that you could look at what's happening(though same thing as what happened earlier)

As soon as site upgradation issues get solved ,i will do that definitedly ,

Alf ,i love the output sheet look and feel most in your code ,trust me to have your code work would be great simply for the fact that the output sheet's formatting looks like a dream and is exactly like my input sheet and also we have a single sheet for each sample ,but problem is both of us are clueless as to where the problem is happening ,i tried it in a different system ,same results ...:(((

    Humble Regard's,

    Hi Amlan

Thanks for feed back. Well nothing doing as I this don't happens when I run the code so after changing the "Activesheet.UsedRange.Offset(1).Copy" I'm out of ideas. Still you got your problem solved thanks to jaslak and that's god. But I really would like to know why my code don't work the way it’s supposed to do.

    Hi Amlan

I'm going to attempt to attach a file. This file DOES NOT exhibit this
i get 2 sheets each of sample 1 ,sample 2 ,sample 3 (6 in total)
    This file DOES exhibit this
can you put a line of code to make the output sheet formatting in terms of row width ,column width ,screen resolution etc to be exactly like input sheet
If you're still getting two sheets per sample, you'll need to attach your file. Let me know of issues.
