Regarding my previous question regarding COUNTIF. In review of various threads I used one argument that seemed to work....comparing two columns, one with a single character via a list box against another column with characters AND numerals.

This was represented as =SUMPRODUCT(--(E2:E67="E"),--(F2:F67="9N184"))

However, when it now compares the first single character column to the mixed column, it will not recognize a cell that contains numerals only? (i.e. 9N184 vs. 9184). As a workaround, I entered a single character in one of the all numeral cells and it worked! But I cannot do this to the original data...is this the right argument or should it be SUMIF????
