But there are a couple of questions :
1. where do you input ...
2. where is the reference database ...

Hi

1: Well i input names cell by cell. So for each cell i enter a name i want it to give suggestions.

2: My refference database would be my other sheet called MaterialDatabase.

The immediate shortcut I can think about, for you to take advantage of Autocomplete, is the following ...

1. Copy your reference data in the column where you are planning to make your inputs ...
2. Hide all the rows containing these data (hopefully there are too many ..)
3. Enjoy the "Magic" of Autocomplete ...

I will into the problem a bit futher for a more elegant solution ...
