Does anyone know of a way to keep borders on a form from being deleted? I have a timesheet, with many cells that have borders. The sheet is protected, however I need some cells unprotected so they can enter their time. If someone cuts and pastes, it removes the borders from the cut area where it is unprotected.
Is there a way to make it so the way the form is set up, cannot change? Can you do something like conditional formatting for just borders so the form remains the same?
Thanks
Whenever you want to keep your borders and do a copy/paste, simply go to edit -> Paste Special. And then make sure "All" is selected under "Paste".
I hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I know that is an option. My problem is, I have 100 others using this form and most of them do not know how to use excel and therefore, it keeps getting messed up.
I was hoping there was a way to keep this from happening so those who don't know how to do that will not ruin the look of the form.
Hi,
I trick I use is to add a row and column either side of the user's enter then above and below the user enter put the border
Then change the row height to 1 and column height to 0.1 and hide gridlines.
When they copy the enter only the value is selected
Will post an example if of use ??
