Hey, at school we're using excel at the moment and i have this table where you can select what you have booked, i am wanting it so if you have "X" in that box it equates to 1.
The formula atm is =SUM((A1:H1)*$M$1) .. M1 is £2.50
So i was just wondering could i use a formula in the box and write in X to show as booked but the actual value be 1.
Thanks
firstly your formula doesnt work it should be
=SUM(A1:H1)*$M$1
but try =COUNTIF(A1:H1,"x")*$M$1
Sorry if the formula was incorrect just i don't have excel in front of me right now so just did it of the top of my head. Thanks for reply I'm installing excel atm and will try when installed.
And probably A1:H1 won't be x's
