    Font color conditional formatting

    Hello All,

    Using Excel 2007

I have a spreadsheet that contains cell with data like:

    M8, A3, S4

I want to set a condtional formatting that whatever the first letter is (M,A or S) I want to change the font color of the letter and digit. For example is the value is M8, then I want to change the color to green (M8), S4 to be red (S4)and A3 to be orange (A3).

All values will have the first letter as M,A or S but have a different digit next to it.

Looking for the formula in condtional formatting to set that up. Any help would be appricated.

    Mike
