Thread: match/lookup formulas

Hi,

I have a fairly large spreadsheet where I am trying to match ID numbers and then bring across the name associated with them. I read some posts on it and tried the suggestions but they didn't seem to work. Some data was taken from other spreadsheets that had formulas in them but I pasted them as values. I've also sorted them from smallest to largest. I'd like excel to find the ID number in Column A, match it with Column B and then give me the name in Column C. When I've used match it will bring up the row number and I can go by that but I would rather it bring up the name.
