I am working on a large spreadsheet. Part of my data is exported from an accounting system. The line placement changes each time it is exported depending upon accounts used during the accounting period. I want to automatically link some of the data to another sheet within the spreadsheet. I can't just link the cells because the cell reference changes.
Can I write a formula to find or search for a specific text cell in the exported data sheet and if found, enter the numeric value from another cell located on the same line as the text into my current sheet.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
