    hi all

i have copied a column of data from web page and
pasted it into COL-A, all cells containing numbers..!

but i could not use the cell values
    for arithmatical operations..!

i used the TTC function &
when i checked with "A1+0" i am getting #value error..!

    Re: cleaning cells..!

Select the data, Find & Replace, in the Find box press and hold the Alt key, and on the NUMERIC keypad, type 0160.

Leave the Replace box blank, Replace All.

    What do the formulas yield?

=Left(A1) and =Right(A1) yield (where A1 is a cell containing one of those numbers)
