    Combining workbooks from a LIST

Ok. I've got 600 patients in a clinic. Each patient has a medical record. I have to audit those medical records, and I keep each audit result in an excel file named by the patient's ID number:

    123456.xls

I currently have a workbook that combines whatever files I choose into one workbook and returns statistics on the group. It works great for either one individual patient or ALL of the patients, but I want to be able to do it for 60-70 patients at a time.

What I want to be able to do is be able to input a list of 60-70 patient ID's and have a macro combine THOSE workbooks without having to manually "hunt and click" each file.

    Any suggestions?

I take the silence to mean it's impossible.

I figured there would be something I could do... any alternative suggestions at least?
