Thread: INDEX and MATCH too SLOW

Hi,

I have the following formula looking at a separate sheet, which is 48k lines long.

=IFERROR(INDEX(SourceData, MATCH($A$1&"_"&R$1&"_"&$O29, SourceData_Id, 0), MATCH("ivnd", SourceData_H,0)), 0)

The workbooks consist of 15-20 sheets and it takes more than 4 minutes to perform all the calculations.

Is there a way to speed up these calculations? Would vlookup perform faster than the combination of INDEX and MATCH?

The attached image shows the content of cell P2, and I will be happy to provide the excel file for potential helpers.
