How to display ascending numbers combined with letters?

    Hi,

I have to make a large list and am trying to figure out if I can do with a formula rather than manually.

I have a code such as: RRTB001, listed in A2. In A3, I will enter RRTB002. A4 will be RRTB003, and so on to RRTB300.

I now how to (add one) in each cell, but can you also have the "RRTB" appear in every cell too?

    Hi sornamins

    Welcome to the Forum ...

    Enter RRTB001 in A2
Then use the Fill Handle (The small Back Square bottom right of the Cell) to drag the entry down.
Put the cursor over the Fill Handle and hold the left left button down to drag.

If you use the right button then excel will also give you options to fill copy etc.

    Hope this helps.
