    Help with incremental proportion shifts?

    Hi Everyone,

Would appreciate some assistance regarding the table attached.

I've got a project that costs $X and is paid for by 8 different sources. Each source pays a percentage of the total. I would like to be able to change one source's percentage and have all of the others reflect this change. For example:

Source 4 currently pays for 20% of the overall cost. If this is increased to 26%, each of the other sources will reduce their contributions by 1%.

I've tried to deduce the function using my basic skills, but end up with circular functions.

Please let me know if there is a solution out there, or if you need some more info... I don't really know how to explain this.

    Cheers,

    Leon
