A macro in my document causes the size of the file to grow about twice its size sometimes, not always; and it’s impossible to know, before running it, if that malfunction is going to happen or not. New precisions:
- The document contains and operates several macros (about 15), but I am pretty sure the increase in the file size is always caused by one and the same macro.
- The one I suspect involves two functions that I fear might be responsible for the unwanted increase: Subtotals and also Filtering (and then handling the lines shown).
- I’ve tried the EXCEL function Inspecting and then removing hidden objects or materials, and that has no effect (only a few kilobytes saved).
Any tips on why that happens and how it can be prevented or how the extra size can be eliminated when detected?

Thanks for your interest. But, on preparing my file for you, I've seen that it won't work on your computer, as the macros are written for a Spanish version of Excel, requiring Excel to use those same names for its functions like, say, "Buscar" (for search), , "Suma" (for addition), "Totales" (for totals) and so on. If Excel uses another word, the macro will crash.
