Hi,
I have a excel sheet which contains approx 150 location names. These all have hyperlinks which lead to different folders on our server. THe spreadsheet acts as an index.
What I wanted to do was use a lookup formula as opposed to having to spend time searching through the list, however when I set up the formula it finds the approriate location name within the spreadsheet, but it does not carry the hyperlink into the search result.
Is there anyway I can actually do this?
Thanks
Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Do you want to lookup values along with the hyperlink? I think you need to use VBA in this case. Thanks.

Hi
Basically I wanted to have the lookup as a search option on a front page of the spreadsheet, then all the data is on another page of the spreadsheet.
I wanted the hyperlink to be pulled up on the result box (so you don't have the plough through the long list) . The important part is getting the link to an easy position (i thought a lookup formula would be easiest)
I don't know how to use vba, can you point me towards a good basics tutorial.

Hi Oshodisa,
Lookup will pull up the text of the hyperlink - not the hyperlink actually.
I would suggest you to try looking at Hyperlink function in Ms Excel. Thanks.
