    Solved Tag for Excel Questions

I have noticed on a few occasions when I have asked a question I get an answer very quickly. However if a question is then asked about the response (ie post 3) the response is alot slower or doesn't happen at all.

I think the reason for this is the threads normally go

    1.Question
    2. Answer
    3. Thanks - at this point nobody new reads the thread as they assume it has already been solved.

If you were able to mark the threads as solved it would remove the need to pump a post or repost a very closely related question to the original.

You might be right that members tend to look at posts with no or few replies. I usually find that a post with several answers is likely to have some one working with the OP to solve it. persoanlly, I try to check any posts I have responded too.

I don't think adding Solved will help -

    1. It will mess up the Forum Search
    2. Sometimes a question might appear Solved, but someone may make a better suggestion, or a problem might occur later.
    Hope that helps.
