Formatting Phone numbers
Do you know of an easy formula or an Excel application or software than can format phone numbers for a voice broadcasting system? It must be able to: remove characters like (, ) , ., - ,/ +,\ and , and put the number 1 in front of all the numbers? Eg. (770)555-5992 or 770-555-5992 The outcome should be 17705555992 ….no brackets, no dashes, no commas, no periods, just straight numbers The formula or program must be "dummy easy" to impliment. _________________ |

Try something like this in B1,
="1"&SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(A1,"-",""),"(",""),")","") then drag down column B
