How do I get off this bus?

Hello,
I have been a member of the forum for 785 days. I would prefer to be a member for zero days. I'm sure it's a lovely forum but its just not for me. I'm sorry I joined because now I can't 'un-join'. I would really like to leave the forum, delete my account not just "unsubscribe" but actually leave?

I can't see how to do that, does anyone know?

All I can find is advice that says you don't have to leave you can just unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Well, frankly I do wish to leave and would be grateful for your kind assistance to effort this.

I would sincerely hate to have to resort to breaking forum rules just to leave, that would be so unseemly and unsporting!
