From a scientific background I've worked with xl for many years, 97´ & still feel like a novice, so many basic issues like day number in any year from date or why macros run slow & files so big. I'm on it full-time at the moment & just not quite getting my head around some calculations & equations that are pretty complicated, to do precisely what I want. Wish you all well, Paul
