My first hands-on computer experience was in about 1960 on an IBM 650 with a massive 2000 words of core memory. It's been a long ride from that start using machine language coding, through various iterations of Fortran and BASIC, DOS and NEWDOS, VisiCalc and now Excel. Lots of extensive spreadsheets in Excel have served me well. But I never needed VBA enough to dig into it. Now I need to do that. Introductory macros are straightforward, but getting to the more useful ones has me stymied--temporarily, I hope. So I may be asking some elementary questions while I learn the tricks.
