Hi Dominicb, Please I'm very new to this sight and have found your suggestions very helpful. My problem is that I work in a company that runs shift. I want to know the number of days each staff work in a week from Sun - Sat if I use the following criteria: M=morning shift A=afternoon shift N=night shift ND=normal duty which start 7:30 am and ends 5pm (1:30mins break in between) O=off duty C=casual leave S/L=sick leave A/L=annual leave I want the system to recognise 1 to 4 anywhere from A1:H1 as working days and 5-8 as absence from duty. The number of days present should be returned on I1. Sorry if my question is confusing. Many thanks
