my name is Chris- im not hot on excel macros ill admit so your my only hope as nobody wants to answer my question I've posted! I'll be so grateful! If it makes any difference- the company im doing this for creates childrens playgrounds from steel so by helping- you will be forwarding the efficiency of playground production and the all important happy smiles of children ;O) lol pleaseeeee

I have a worksheet that has a macro formed to calculate pipe quantities but i want to extend the amount of cells eg: a1,a2,a3 etc-- BUT when i use my logic from standard excel to simply insert column nothing happens- no columns are added- its as though its locked and probably in the macro script or something i need to state a range eg: a1 to z8 but i have no idea hoe to do this-- if anyone would be so kind i can forward my excel file and see what you think is the answer? Id be ever so grateful! ive been going round in circles for about an hour! lol
